This modernized wood stove has adequate heating ability for a 1250 sq. ft area.  It is definitely different from the traditional hearthlike wood stove or boxwood or pot belly stoves most people know.  With the liftop, it can not only heat but also cook, giving you flexibility in a tight space.

US Stove Company Caboose Potbelly Stove, Model# 1869

This is a classic potbelly stove that harkens back to old times.  Its designed to look like it came straight from an old train station.  This has strong cast iron wood stove construction.  It can heat up to 750 sq. ft.  so about the size of a small cabin.
