Schrader Wood Stove

Here's another out of business manufacturer. As best as we can tell, Schrader went out of business and made the last of their stoves in the 1990s. They were known as stoves that put out a massive amount of heat. However, the doors had a reputation for getting warped and losing their air sealing ability. The doors would be latch style and definitely would lose usability over time. You can use some new door gasket sealing, but its no guarantee. In addition, these stoves did not have any real clean-burn technology, so you won't get a lot of efficiency there, and it will be dirty as far as pollution. You should upgrade to a new model when possible.

If you do need to keep it burning, there's a few things you can do. A hot stove will burn a little better, keeping more air flowing to the stove. You can consider a temporary stack damper to help control the air once a fire is going and less fierce.
