Wittus

Wittus stoves brings a Danish background to a American manufacturing facility, and the result are unique heaters with European flair. You can tell a Wittus from their contemporary and modern design.

For over 30 years Neils Wittus has produced award winning stove designs from their Westchester, NY plant. European heaters are characterized with their unique design. Wood storage on the bottom, stove in the middle, and cooking or baking component up top. What Wittus has done is taken these parts and put them in a modern look.

They really push design and aesthetics. One look on there web pages shows their designers from Italy and Denmark. Clearly style is taken seriously there.

Here are some of their more impressive lines:

Klassic: The original model. It was first developed in 1970 but not fully rolled out until the factory launched in 1979. Has all the building blocks of a classic European stove. However, its been recently updated to comply with new EPA regs and is for sale once again.

Cosmo: Their newest line. The Cosmo is very contemporary and is rated to burn at up to 81% efficiency. Ten different models in the line.

Twinfire: The stove with two fires! It uses a unique double-combustion chamber so you get two flames. This is very cool and Wittus claims it burns at 93%. Seems very high to us but its still very remarkable.
