Enviro M55

General Review:

The Enviro M55 is one of the quietest pellet stoves out on the market.  Its also has a relatively rare cast iron finish which can really complete the look of your home.  It can be a little pricey though.

One of the common complaints with pellet stoves is the noise.  Enviro has engineered a nearly silent agitator, which seems to eliminate a lot of the racket you may hear with other units. The auger is also very quiet but you may hear some noise initially upon installation.
Its also one of the few cast iron models available on the market.  Some folks really like the cast iron styles.  One drawback is that the stove will take longer to cool down than the standard steel models.

Another nice touch is an intelligent standby mode, which basically tells the stove to hold instead of turning off completely if heat isn’t needed by the thermostat.  It drastically improves heat output when when a kick-in is needed.

It will also burn multiple types of pellets.  Obviously, higher quality fuel is better, but I haven’t heard of anything failing to burn through.  Wood, corn, even wheat seem to go through no problem.  It seems extremely resilient in that regard.

One downside for this unit is the price.  The inserts can go for over $4000 easily, not including installation.  I have seen them priced down to around $3600, with $500 installation, although this was at the end of the heating season and may have been more of a clearance sale deal.
